+676 Dear gay protestors, If it's really a "sin" to be gay, is it not also a sin to writes things like "FAGS DESERVE TO DIE" on signs and protest ouside of a funeral? And you say "God hates gays" but I was brought up to believe God loves everyone. You're digging yourselves into a hole. Love, everyone else., amirite?

Just saying, not all Christians believe that God hates gays and that they deserve to die. Many Christians are gay-friendly and we have been stereotyped by the yahoos that think gays should die.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or it's more of disapproval of homosexuality but not actually hating anyone just because they're gay. It's sad that a small radical percent defines all Chrisyians in the eyes of the rest of the world.

I just noticed that a nice boulder replied to a rock...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, true. Well, since you're a boulder, and I'm a rock, we won't have to fight to the death, because there's only one rock on here. But you're a boulder, so it's all good.

i know. notice how i wrote "dear gay protestors" and not "dear all chrsitians" I wasn't trying to stereotype them, if thats what you think.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorry, didn't notice that.

inb4 massive comment war about Christianity accepting everyone (I missed the first portion of the comment war already). What I dont understand about the WBC is they claim that they hate the US, yet still live in it. They contradict themselves again and again with their "religion" (which seems more like a hate group). I heard that SWAT teams kicked some of their asses at a funeral recently...finally, the day for vengeance has come.

When I clicked on this post, I noticed that the ad on the side of the page was for a dating site for gays and lesbians. Very Fitting.

God does not hate gays. He hates homosexuality, but he loves the homosexuals. Just like he loves everybody else even though we all do things he doesn't like.

You forgot the period at the end.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You also have horrible capitalization.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For the anti-gay christians: if god hated gays, then why did he create them?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God makes the person., but the world shapes the personality. He doesn't decide who we are or what we do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm pretty sure the amirite community is so conservative that they're protesting with all the Christian radicals. Just saying. Most of us(even the Christians, like me) are pretty tolerant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

conservative amirite? wow you're delusional

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(bthehobo):I mean to say no one on amirite is. It's a typo.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok, listen up. (read this all before you get all mad, please) It says in the Bible that being gay is a sin. BUT is a sin a "bad thing"? No. A sin is defined as "imperfection," or in terms of trying to hit a bull's eye, "missing the mark." So when the Bible says being gay's a sin, it simply means it's an imperfection. It's an imperfection in the natural world only because it means you can't produce offspring. See what I mean? But some people don't understand this, and gays are ultimately shunned by them as being sinful. God never said that all gays would burn in hell, and if that was the case, why would he make them gay? No, don't over-complicate things, for those of you who think it's a huge sin to be gay. Case closed =)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Case reopened. Like a boss. Though the OP has already made the distinction twixt gay protesters and actual Christians, I would like to say that the Bible condemns sexual immorality, with homosexuality included in that list of immoral acts. However, the Bible also tells all Christians that it is not our place to judge those outside of the Church. We can only judge the actions of those individuals who are inside the Church. As the vast majority of practicing homosexuals do not declare themselves to be practicing Christians, they can not be rightfully judged.
