What do you mean by "retarded"? Mentally ill? Exactly. A disease. Anorexics don't just stop eating, it's much more than that. There's a reason they feel the way they do and it's not just to say they have a disease. Actually, most anorexics are proud of their extreme self control and deny that there's anything wrong with them.

Yes it is. In the cases of most girls who actually have it (a.k.a. not attention whores) and are actually a healthy weight, when they look in the mirror, they see themselves as fat (not like "Omg, 105 is so fat," but what they see in the mirror is actually an overweight person. As for the girls who actually are overweight, it starts as just trying to look better, but eventually (for over and normal weight girls), it's an addiction, as much as smoking cigarettes. Also, I am aware this reply is late. I was on the random page.
