Yeah, it's because they have daddy issues. They didn't feel like their fathers loved them enough, so they think if they can get the love of someone distant or even straight up cold, it'll fill the void. Someone I know is pulling the same shit. The guy's a complete douche, but she "loves him". It's also probably why they ignore nice guys. Their approval is too easy to get. Come to think of it, the same girl did date a pretty cool dude before this douche, but dumped him. So, yeah, looks like there's your answer. Fathers, don't be an asshole to your daughters. Is that too much to ask? Wait, let me answer that for you. No. No it isn't.
