um. well. for starters, a lot of people could just use that logic to disagree with people without fully thinking it through. or, like when a friend has a problem, and she throws out every situation you provide. it's like that. and, really, i do believe that you have to think something is right before you can think the opposing view is wrong. you need to have an opinion first before you can disagree with the other side. otherwise you have no basis for logically proving the other person wrong. you know?

I see what you mean. But this is the kind of scenario I was thinking of: Person 1: Babe Ruth had 798 home runs. Person 2: No he didn't! P1: Well then, how many did he have? P2: I don't know, but it definitely wasn't 798

completely true. For example, I have not completely researched the other side, but I still know that climate change is not human caused.
