+417 What would happen if a women who was in a polygamist marriage cheated on her husband? Would her husband get mad at her because it's still cheating, or would he really even care, because he has like six other wives anyway, amirite?

In countries where polygamy is legal, an adulterous woman is often stoned, so I'm going to say the husband still gets mad...

As an avid watcher of that horrible TLC show "Sister Wives" I can accurately tell you that the husband would indeed get mad. They brought it up in an interview at one point and he said "I know it'll sound hypocritical, but the thought of that seems so disgusting." I don't get it either.

I think it is just the fact that they have their own way of loving them each as we love our single spouse, and cheating would be of the same effect because you love them either way and it would still be painful to cope with.

Most people in polyamorous relationships discuss it and have rules as to what counts and doesn't count as cheating. For the most part, if someone in the relationship wants to date or sleep with someone outside the relatioship they should let the others know so that nobody gets jealous.
