+337 It's weird when people have a picture of themselves kissing their partner as their display picture. It's like they have to be in that pose for 20 seconds to take the picture without moving. Really and truly, they've not taken a picture of a kiss, but a picture of them leaning on each other via their mouths, amirite?

Someone can take a picture as they happen to be kissing. Or one surprise the other with a kiss during the picture. And even if it was planned, a couple can definitely kiss for more than 20 seconds.

When you kiss for that long, you're focusing on the kiss, not holding down the camera button to focus it just for a picture. And if it's a surprise kiss, you can always tell because one of them looks completely different and not quite a part of it. And taking a picture as they "happen" to be kissing would either be really creepy of someone to do, or stupidly rare.

my ex-bff did this. Her profile pictures are all like that. Like, what do yuou do? "honey, could you just....one more...and...CLICK!"

Oh I thought this was other people taking the pictures, I read it weird. But what does stupidly rare mean? It's stupid and rare? Or when it happens, sometimes it's stupid?

I have one of me and my boyfriend kissing on the beach because his best friend took it when she was creeping on us. Or you could have a timed camera so you can just kiss and not think about when the picture is actually going to take. And lots of kissing lasts longer than 20 seconds, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at.

(Your+name+(optional)): A kiss is where two people are both fully committed to the action. If one of them is partially focused on something else such as taking a picture, it's just two people with their lips pressed. And who would bother setting up a timed camera just for the sake of a kiss? :| That's sad.

Actually that's not a definition of a kiss. And neither of my examples has one person focused on the picture and not the kiss so your response is double illogical. It's not sad if you wanted a picture of your kiss. Some people find it sentimental. Do I? No. But some people do, and that's usually how it happens.

(Your+name+(optional)): "double illogical" doesn't make sense as a phrase, just so you know. Try "twice as". Moving on, if someone kisses you but you don't want such an occurrence so you're attempting to get them off, do you still consider that a kiss? The first thing that would spring to mind would be "They kissed me!" rather than "We kissed!" I have no issue with people wanting a picture of a kiss. What's sad is going through the effort of setting up a camera, putting it on timer, focusing it and planning the whole thing. Kisses shouldn't be planned, they should be spontaneous.

Only photos of me kissing someone are taken by a third party, they are usually being taken as it is a party of a gathering of people and someone enjoys documenting their life. You can take a photo of a real kiss yourself, it isn't exactly hard to hold a camera out and tense a finger as you kiss. Hell if you can't work your mouth and your hands seperately you'll make a bad partner and even worker.
