For the cooling down of things you can put them in a freezer for a couple of minutes. And there are warmers to keep food warm. The won't taste as good as it did when it was first made though.

1. Magnetic Refrigeration 2. Keep it in the oven at ~100 F

I know the second one exists. I work in a kitchen and I store my lunch in it, its really handy.

It's called a freezer and an oven.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's not what an oven does

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But it can...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... Oh right yes it can, I'm sorry I thought ovens were only used for cooking when I did that comment. Sorry, I can't think properly at night

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was just about to say this.

An oven can't keep things warm?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's actually something called a blast chiller... Its basically the 'microwave that quickly cools things down'... And lots of ovens have a warming chamber underneath where you can put food to keep it warm for a while.
