Are you so sure the pretty girl has nothing in common with him, while you have so much in common with him? Additionally, since when does having a lot in common with someone automatically mean you should go out with them? Maybe there's more between these two than just common interests. In other words, the original poster just sounds jealous of a girl getting more attention than her from the guy she likes -- not that there's anything wrong with that, but it helps to know when you're jealous. This can be damaging to your self-image, too -- why do you assume she's prettier than you? Maybe he's just more into her at the moment. There's no need to assume it's because she's more attractive than you.
