+640 It's weird to think about we ARE the internet generation. We got to witness the birth itself of the interwebz and all technology that came with it, and got to experience life both with it and life without it. We will now and forever be the last generation who's ever seen the world without internet, amirite?

well...when we were little, it didn't have much of a impact in our lives. I thought everyone had these "computers" already. but now, you see like lil 9 year olds asking questions on yahoo answers about life on what to do if their iphones are broken or if they can't log on facebook no

Yeah, I was surprised how many people YYA'd this considering I'm pretty sure I'm considerably older than 99% of the users on this site. I was born in '83 and most definitely remember the internet being invented and not understanding what the heck it was. But, I feel like the majority of the users on this site were either born after it was invented, or were only a couple years old when it was invented and would't be able to remember life before it...

Sure, I didn't mean it to be literally when it was invented. I meant the metaphorical birth of the internet - its entrance into the world. Just being somewhere in the corner, invented, doesn't count.

Except the Amish.

I remember my dad telling me about when his family got their first telephone and then TV. Now I'll tell my kids how it was before the internet (even though I'm going to put strict limits on their internet usage until they get older).
