It is one of the most popular instruments to learn, but I do not think that it is overrated. It's difficult to play.

Agreed. It's such a versatile and flexible instrument--it can be used to play a lot of genres.

Gutairs are not Over-Rated they are awesome!! Other instruments are and would rock peoples Worlds but Guitar is not over-rated just because it is most frequently played - are you right...No... =)

It's not overrated. It's just popular. You don't see too many french horns in rock bands nowadays, eh? But the french horn rocks some kid's world.
