It's all about perspective. Am I sad that Hitler's life was cut short? Not really. Were all of his followers who treated him like a king sad? Well yeah. It was tragic for someone.

Saddam Hussein?

I actually do believe that was very tragic. He didn't deserve to die the way he did. I believe even though he might have done some bad things, his job isn't an easy one and you have to admit that he was doing a better job of keeping peace in his country than the US is now.
If you watched his trials, he seemed to really care about his country and his people, that's why they stopped airing them. If you watched that, you'd realize that he had good intentions

LOL yeah he cared about his people so much that he used them as body shields and gassed their villages. What a guy.

I think everyone's death is tragic to someone. Regardless of who the person was or what they were like. They impacted someone.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Sadly, that's not the case. Many elderly or the estranged die without anyone in their lives at all.
by Anonymous13 years ago
they probably impacted somebody in their life, just that person probably died before them
by Anonymous13 years ago
Right which is why we have to ask: what is meant by tragic? Tragic as in, shakespeareian tragedy (fear that it could happen to you) or tragedy as in great pity?
by Anonymous13 years ago
you'll never know :P your decision probs :P btw, i love your name :L

When I see the word tragic, I think of horrible, such as a horrible way to die.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You don't find it tragic that those people die alone?
by Anonymous12 years ago
sometimes death = justice

Damn you beat me to it
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree with this... No matter how evil someone is, there is someone that loves them and their death is tragic for them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree, 'cause I don't really think it's acceptable to be excited over somebody dying, regardless of who they were. A human being dying is sad, no matter what.
