When you find someones diary, chances are you're gonna read it, amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
And they think that I actually care and will think differently about them if I were to read something like, "Last night I was gangbanged by 10 black guys. It was super hot I can't wait to do it again next week."
I honestly don't.
by Anonymous11 years ago
More people like you need to exist.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Probably not. But more because I honestly don't care at all about their personal life. Only reason I would read it is if it was from a really interesting time period that I want to know more about.
by Anonymous11 years ago
If it were some random diary of some stranger, yeah I'd probably check it out. If it were someone I was close with, as curious as I'd be, there's no way in hell I'd read it. I'm sorry but I think that crosses the line. It doesn't matter if the contents of the diary aren't important to you and won't change your opinion of someone; chances are, it's really damn important to your friend.
If I had a diary and a friend secretly read it, I'd be fucking pissed.

Same here
Though, well, in my case it's recordings of dreams (I want to teach myself to dream lucid and keeping track of your dreams is supposed to help)
There's tons of things in there no one should ever read, I'd probably die of embarrassment. So I would be a major hypocrite if I did something like that myself
/end anecdote

@O___o: Dreaming lucid is awesome, and I hope you manage to do it someday. It happened to me once totally on accident. I had a dream I was walking to my garage from inside the house, and I just fell/stumbled due to the realization I was dreaming. Unfortunutely, I wasn't thinking about the possibilities and the change I made to the dream was making my garage look cleaner.

^Same happened to me in a lucid dream. While I was dreaming, literally out of nowhere, I realized I was dreaming. Sadly I didn't use it to my advantage either and I woke up very shortly after :(
Usually though I get inception dreams. Most I've had was a dream within a dream within a dream lol
by Anonymous11 years ago
@O___o I'm doing the same! I want so badly to learn to lucid dream...
by Anonymous11 years ago
Well, if that only worked in real life XD (a clean garage sounds like a dream...)
Oh inception dreams are sometimes so horrible
Especially if one of them is nice and then you think you wake up and realise it was a dream
Good luck Nita (I haven't really had any results, but I'll keep trying)

@NitaCallahan & O___o: What's it like to have a dream within a dream?
by Anonymous11 years ago
@k_ninja: it's happened to me once. I was dreaming that I accidentally killed my sister, and then I woke up and almost cried with relief when I realized it was a dream, and then woke up again. For me it was kind of a moment of exasperation, like, "ok brain, you are wasting my time here."
It was a little weird.

I was 4 I think (this is the one I remember best)
And I dreamed about something nice, whatever 4 year old boys dream about, then woke up and it was my birthday and I got a ton of presents
Then I woke up again and it was not my birthday
I almost cried in disappointment XD
by Anonymous11 years ago
@NitaCallahan: That must have been.. interesting.
@O___o/NitaCallahan: If you've had other inception dreams, did you ever fall asleep in the dream? Or did you just begin right on the lowest level?
by Anonymous11 years ago
Okay, sorry if this is TMI, but I had an inception dream last night! I was skipping class and then got heavily embarrassed by the teacher. I don't visually remember waking up in the first level of the dream, but I do remember thinking about how I can now learn a lesson about not skipping class. Then I woke up due to my alarm, and I felt like I had been awake for a really long time(mentally).
So anyway, that was cool.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I wouldn't read it, because if it were me I know I wouldn't want it being read. To you it might seem like whatever, but if the person were to find out you read they would probably being dying of embarrassment. And no one likes that feeling.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Chances are good, bad, what?? You need to specify
by Anonymous11 years ago
I definitely wouldn't. I've had chances to before, but all that's gonna happen is you're gonna find out things you don't want to know. Then it will get really awkward when you're around that person. Also I would be really mad if someone read mine
by Anonymous11 years ago
Every time I reorganize my room, I find an old diary, and then I waste an hour reading it and thinking, " was I retarded? ...Yes, probably"
by Anonymous11 years ago
I wrote something personal in a dairy/ to-do list thing once to calm myself down. My friend read it when I was not there, approached me later and said, “I read what you wrote. I am sorry."
That was the most awkward moment in my life... ecxept for the time when my house keeper accidently saw me naked... but yeah...
by Anonymous11 years ago
I would probably read it, depending who it is. But then I would more than likely read something I didn't want to know about....but allwell. Curiosity killed the cat.
