Shit..I didn't think they could. I think there are 2 episodes, one from the 80's and one more recent where they could hover. I think the new series allows them to fly. It probably tires the little fucker out easier though, so just climb a lot of stairs an prey for the best. (I had to google all of that :) )

Lets be honest with ourselves-A single Dalek has the capacity to wipe out a good portion of the population of any area it attacks-four could probably take over the world if they did it right. Then you've got the Raxacoricofallapatorian race, the Gelth, the Ood when the devil gets at them, the Carrionites, the Cybermen, the Krillitane, and the other millions of much more advanced alien life forms out there that could and often try to wipe us out on a regular basis...
