I don't really vent to my dog, unless it's about how my family is wrong when they get me in shit. Then she just licks my face and its all good. Her tongue is about the size of a nickle.

Yes sometimes talking to the dog is good vocalizing thoughts helps me to know what I really want or if it sounds too stupid I can change that idea before doing it.
