Well, considering they read DNA strands from apes/monkeys, the discover that we have nearly the same DNA. And considering that we share many same characteristics with them, such as a-posable thumbs, there is a good possibility we are related to them.

Fun fact: scientific theory =/= theory. A scientific theory is an idea that covers and explains proven facts, not idiot guesswork. Besides, we already know evolution is real. It's observable. I really don't know why you wouldn't "believe" in evolution, considering all the times it's been observed. The only thing that may excuse believing in human evolution is religion, and that's your own choice to make, but evolution is not just human evolution, as some egocentric, ignorant people might believe. It's just the change in a gene pool over time.

Sparseseconds, I believe in a religion and in evolution, not all religions excuse believing in evolution... In my religion, God did create humans, but the process of creation isn't specified, so stating the way is evolution isn't wrong...

Please correct me I'm wrong, but if you believe in God isn't your religion Abrahamic? And don't all Abrahamic religions believe in the creation story? I never said evolution denies creation. You said the bible doesn't specify how humans were created but it does.

I'm a Muslim, and in Quran God says he created Adam from earth (mud) and then created Eve... But the way isn't specified, and considering that the Quran is originally in Arabic, where words have hundreds of meanings, it allows open interpretation of verses, and I choose to interpret it in a way that goes along science...

There really isn't solid proof of any evolution except micro-evolution (adapting small features, like Darwin's finches. Not changing from one species into another). Either way, I haven't done any research myself. I don't blindly support creationists or evolutionists, because it's not a one-or-the-other choice and both are probably wrong. So many things have been discovered in science over the last decade alone that should have had the textbooks rewritten -- things scientists were once certain of. I'm just saying, people don't know everything and they should stop just filling in the gaps with whatever theory can cross off the most mysteries. And that's my rant of the week.

There's no line where micro and macro evolution split. They're the same thing. And Darwin's finches is speciation. The birds can't reproduce with those on a different island, therefore they are different species

Perhaps you're right, and I'll never completely dismiss the possibility. I'm just saying, maybe the origin of the species is something entirely different from anything we've considered. Personally, I think we're only at the elementary stages of understanding the world we live in. It's just that there's more to it all than one's old biology textbook.
