+190 In order for them to be your favorite band/artist, you should be able to listen to their cd from start to finish with no stops, amirite?

This post is meh. I think you just need to know a pretty good amount of their songs and simply enjoy the music. I may not be able to sit through an entire CD because there may be a song or two I'm not really crazy about, but that doesn't mean they can't be my favorite band.

I don't think it's fair to say only under certain conditions can a band be someone's favorite. If they say it's their favorite band, it's not your job to tell them it's not.

If you truly love a band then you would be able to honestly criticize them and not pretend that they can do no wrong. I love Pink Floyd, but not every song they've ever done made it on my iPod.

I don't think I am capable of listening to a whole CD nonstop! I get distracted too much. :(

Truly liking a band is accepting that not every track on their CD is a good one.

Well I like bands that normally make concept albums, so my post can make more sense now

False. Favorite, definition: preferred above all others of the same kind. The criteria for a favorite is essentially just the best option. This does not even have to be something which you enjoy. Therefore in order for them to be your favorite band/artist, you must not prefer any other band/artists over them.
