+287 If you buy an expensive wallet, you'll look rich, but you'll have no money. If you buy a cheap wallet, you'll have money but you'll look poor. You just can't win with them, amirite?

Or you could have no wallet and let the money talk for you.

Since when is "rich" having only enough $ to buy a nice wallet? I guess I'll be "that guy" that says what everyone is thinking but no one wants to say =/

I initially thought the same thing as Joe, except I read the post again and it never says you actually are rich. Just having an expesnive wallet makes you appear to be rich. I also don't think an expensive wallet makes you look "rich," because most would agree a "rich" person is someone who is a multi-millionaire, and I believe it woud take more than a wallet to indicate that.

Well, rich is relative :)

Right, and my comment was relative to the United States. I read an article not long ago about what is considered to be rich in todays age and economy. The general consensus is that 1 million dollars is not even rich, in fact one should have at least 1 million dollars for retirement. I also asked some people what they thought it took to be actually rich and in general its in the multi-million dollar area.

you should read whitewhine.com. It puts stuff like that in perspective.

or you could get a wallet that looks expensive but really isn't and still have a lot of money

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You could, if you're willing to commit to a search for one.
