I personally believe that if you die it was your time.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Same here. I mean, it sucks, but it's true. Not everyone is meant to die of old age. Personally, I don't want to die of old age. I want to go out with a bang or something. Hehee.

While I agree that cancer kills too many people who are seemingly too young to die, don't you think that if they do die of cancer, it must've been their time to go?

No.

You die when it's your time to go, so if you die of cancer, even if you're young, it's your time. If it wasn't, they wouldn't have died.

I don't think there is a "time" for a person to die. Shit happens, and that's how people die. Don't tell me you believe that all those people who JUST died because of the earthquake/tsumani in Japan were meant to die at the same time.

I have mixed feeling about whether I believe in fate or not, but if a person believes that people have a ''time'', then they should believe that a person's time can be when they're young, and that not everyone's time involves them dying in their sleep at age 90. A person can't say everyone has their time to go, then when a young person dies, they say it wasn't their time. If that makes sense.

I'm not saying it just "wasn't their time" because they were young, and that everybody should die of old age. I'm saying that, in my opinion, people don't have a set "time to go", and their death is merely an accident that happened in their lives. Ex. a person gets in a car accident and dies: it wasn't necessarily their time to go, but just them being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I didn't mean you. I mostly agree with you, that people don't have a set time. I meant that if Person A believes ''everyone has a time to go'' then they can't suddenly change their belief when a young person dies and say ''oh no it wasn't their time''. If Person A believes everyone has a time, they should accept that some people's times will be sooner than others.

Ahhh, okay. I thought you meant me. So I was like "nuh-uhhh".

May 10th it will be 5 years since my dad died of cancer. He was young, but I know it's Gods will... Even if I don't understand why now. RIP. :)
