If you still see a pediatrician, you don't need to be buying a pregnancy test, amirite?

Lots of people see their pediatrician into their early twenties.

I still see my pediatrician and I'm 18. I think it's important for girls who are sexually active to be seeing a gyno, too. I don't really see the connection between the two things you listed though, unless it's another one of those "12 YEARS OLDS SHOULDN'T BE HAVING SEX" posts.

This.
At 17, I still have to go to the "Children's Hospital"... The nurses acted like I was a circus freak for admitting I was "sexually active".
If anything the system is messed up, not the individual buying the prego test.

Prego test
"Honey, I'm starting to worry -- I haven't had spaghetti in over a month and... I think... I might be Prego."

Don't pretend like teeanagers don't have sex. They do and that will never change.

You're right. It's been happening since the dawn of time, and yes, even in the middle ages, the 1700's, the 1800's, the 1900's, and will never stop happening. We can all stop pretending that people from the olden days were more proper. They just got married earlier.

At first I thought this said pedestrian... I was trying to figure out what pedestrians have to do with pregnancy.

I think what she's trying to say is that most people who see a pediatrician are young teens and that they really shouldn't be worried about being pregnant.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You don't say??
by Anonymous11 years ago
Can I rephrase then? If you can't drive yourself to go get it, then you shouldn't be buying the pregnancy test.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Slightly more reasonable, to be the devil's advocate you could be late on getting the driver's license due to failure to pass the driver's test or waiting until 21 to get a permit.

What if I'm pregnant?
by Anonymous11 years ago
My philosophy teacher said that boys don't get pregnant. Might be full of shit, though.

If you are emotionally ready for sex, then you should be able to have sex without people forcing their personal morals and beliefs on you. Just because you and most other people think that a certain age is too young to be having sex, does not mean that you are right and can force that belief onto other people.
