My god this post is littered with fallacy. Just because 700 are people are raped every day in the US, does not mean 1 in 700 is going to raped withing 24 hours. For that to be true, 428.571 people would have to be raped every day. (In relation the population of the US, that's 1/700) And I have no idea how you made the correlation between rape in the US and the users on amirite. I guess you believe there are around 700 users on amirite (It's probably 10 times that) and you'd have to assume that every amirite user lives in the states, which is obviously not true. Understanding statistics FAIL

Well I can see that over 8000 people "Like" amirite on facebook and I'm guessing most of those people have an account. Then you can ask OP if she is referring to habitual users or total users.

your statement doesn't make much sense either relative the starting post. you changed that the poster said '700 people are raped per day' to your post of '1 in every 700 are raped per day' read carefully before you try to prove someone wrong...

No, they're saying that if 700 Americans are raped daily, it's possible that one of these days an amirite user will be raped. 1 in 700 is different from 700 in 307,006,550.

For that to be true there would have to be about 500,000 users on Amirite. (300,000,000/700~500,000, so one in every half a million people gets raped every day).

No, theyre saying that every 1 out of 700 Americans are amirite users. For this post to be correct the OP would have to know how many Americans use amirite. We could tell if this is true by dividing American population by 700, finding the amount of American users on amirite, and if the numbers matched, the post is true... But I doubt it.
