+395 You find it odd that people will fund millions of dollars to save a tiny bug, but when it comes to helping the homeless or funding education some people won't do shit. Amirite?

Well technically, if a bug goes extinct, it would disrupt the cycle of nature. And humans aren't exactly going extinct. As for funding education- have you ever heard of TAXES? Ask your parents. Oh, and the pocket change we give to the homeless add up to millions of dollars each year...I'm not saying it's sufficient or fair, but it's true.

Species go extinct every day. One more bug would not have major impact.

Yeah I know they do. No one said they don't, but they do have an impact. Have you not taken a basic biology class in your lifetime? How old are you, 8? That's like saying trees are not important because thousands of them die everyday, guess what, it's environmental factors that cause them to die, whether it's natural or caused by humans. There is this thing called "The food chain", have you heard of it? If a whole species dies, it affects everything, it's not "one more bug".

Some bugs are just mite valuable than some people. Like bees for example. They pollinate the fruit we eat for free. Would a homeless man do that? Nah. He/she would not.
