+142 Yeah, it's great that you want to help Haiti, but the last time I checked we have millions of homeless and starving right here in America. There's something about a TV broadcast that makes all the stupid gullible people flock to it. amirite?

The fact that there are people starving in America is American's fault. There is no good reason why anyone is North America is starving. It's just stupid. People are selfish arses.

maybe the homeless in america should get jobs... just a thought.

I agree with that completely, but I can see how it would be challenging cause its hard enough for people with experience and a home to get a job how are the homeless going to in Americas current economy?

(kevinmat):But the thing is, people are to prejudice. No ones going to hire a homeless person, because they HAVE no home, and because they don't look put together. And, in that event, Americans sit around on their leather couches watching their flat screen TVs believing that the shit that happens on their is just, well.. shit. :/ When they could be doing SO much more. I'm not saying owning expensive stuff is bad, just do your part, otherwise you don't deserve the lifestyle you're living, ya know?

Many homeless people in America simply choose not to work. In Haiti, many homeless people want to work, but can't because they don't have the same opportunities.

People aren't "stupid and gulible" for helping people in Haiti becuase they were informed of it and because the earthquake led to a sudden and surprising disaster, whereas in America homelessness has become almost commonplace.
