+319 It's annoying how society tells women that they're lazy if they choose to be homemakers instead of having a "real" career. Dedicating your life to caring for the ones you love is a noble task, amirite?

Bitch, please.

Doing both is more noble yet! Not that I'm saying stay at home mums are lazy, its unfair the expectations put on us, yet so many women these days are doing both building their career and nurturing their family

Society says that about both parents. If anything, moms can get away with it more easily.

What about Dads, though? They'd definitely be called lazy if they decided to be stay-at-home dads, but really, if we're talking about equality, isn't that discrimination, sexism? I think mothers have it a bit easier in that respect.

(slytherclaw):It's a lot less common, but my dad was a stay at home dad for a while, no one called him lazy.
