by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hanko de Mayo! Does anyone get that reference?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, I do

I'm a bit mexican, When I say a bit... I mean, like, all the way. It's a bit sad when in the U.S, people treat you differently if they hear you talking in spanish :(

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, it's a bit sad when millions of people in America refuse to learn English.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Think you got it the wrong way 'round.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nope. I don't think so. This is America. We speak English. Assimilate or leave.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nope, I'm sorry. America is a continent in which Spanish is the dominant language.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, somebody wants to be technical and petty, I see. Here, let me correct that statement: This is the United States of America. We speak English. Assimilate or leave.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What the fuck has that got to do with people treating you differently for speaking Spanish? If you haven't realised already, I have actually bothered to learn English.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I understand that you have. I'm saying people are going to give you dirty looks because it seems like you haven't.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't see why this is such a problem in the U.S. People in Europe learn up to 3 different languages and they don't turn it into a racial issue.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When did I say anything at all about race?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

nevermind. i meant nationality.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not a nationality problem, either. It's an assimilation problem. America is great because we are a melting pot, not an entrée and 3 side dishes.

im bad with words, you couldnt have said it better
