Two of my friends had a metal plate put in to their chest for pectus excavatum, and they set off the alarm every time they go through. They were flying to chicago together once, and were detained.

My necklace made it go off once, which freaked me out slightly because it never did that before (or after). Like OMG what if it goes off the next time I go through again? I don't want them to have to frisk me! I DON'T HAVE A GUN HONEST! ...But it worked so it was okay.
