+146 The only reason JK Rowling put the "are you a witch/wizard or not?!" thing in the seventh book is to punish the filmmakers for leaving it out of the first movie, amirite?

And then Yates left it out of the seventh!

Or to be funny because Hermione, with the incredible memory she has, remembered Ron said it to her in a similar situation.

I don't remember this, what is it referring to? :(

Like in the first book, with the devil's snare, Hermione needs to make a fire but she says "there's no wood!" and Ron replies with "are you a witch or not?!". And then in the seventh one, as they are trying to get to the Shrieking Shack via the Whomping Willow, Ron says he wishes Crookshanks was there to "freeze" the tree, and Hermione replies with "Are you a wizard or not?!"
