+330 It's obnoxious when you hit "backspace" and go back pages. Why would one ever want that to happen? amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't know if obnoxious is the right word.... Besides it's a shortcut, what button could you possibly be trying to press around backspace?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you were typing or something. That's happened to me quite a few times, if I've clicked something like an italicize button and then tried to start typing and somehow hit backspace, then it'll sometimes bring me to the previous page, and delete everything I've written. It only happens on some pages, and with some specific sequence of clicking/button-pressing, but I've somehow managed it way too many times.

Hmm, if you're typing in a text box then it shouldn't backspace should only delete the previous letter (same if you're watching a video or playing a flash game). The only time that happens is if you click out of the box and click inside the window (like you said hitting the italicize key).

I always use that shortcut. What, do you reach up to the very corner and press the arrow each time?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I use alt + arrow

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, backspace requires half as many buttons pressed.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I use the back key on the mouse. Best thing ever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That one's convenient too, when one has a mouse. No mouse -> backspace.

yes

I agree with the first part of this, but not the second part. It's just easier to hit backspace to go pages, instead of having to move the mouse. But at the same times, I hate it when I'm typing something, click somewhere else by accident, hit backspace, and lose everything I've typed.

Annoying, yes. Obnoxious, no. Do you even know what that means?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why, yes. I find your insinuations like yours obnoxious as well. If you didn't know, which I doubt, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=obnoxious+synonyms

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Whatever. But typically, obnoxious is used to describe behaviour. The context that it's in doesn't seem right in this post.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Whatever". And to you perhaps.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Um, finding synonyms for it doesn't prove anything, did you do that because the actual deffinition DOESN'T WORK?
