+248 Women: You hate when men act like they understand your struggle, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I hate when anyone tries to act like they understand anyone's struggle that they've never experienced.

lol under the jokes

C-c-c-combo breaker! My friend Keshayne was trying to discuss with me the women's suffrage movement the other day, but I made it clear to him that no other minority has undergone any equal rights struggle as grueling as women have.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Keshayne? Sounds like he has bigger problems than women's suffrage

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh yeah? Like what? At my last girl power meeting, we compared the issue of sexism to every other type of discrimination and still decided that sexism was the worst, because it applied to us.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

On an unrelated note: I didn't realize you were a girl until just now and as such your comment wasn't making much sense. On a related note: I have nothing related

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Girl power meeting? You're making fun of women who say stuff like this, amirite? Other minority struggles were pretty bad and gruesome. Like...I don't know...slavery.

My friend, Amanda, was trying to discuss with me the woman's suffrage movement the other day, but don't worry, I made it clear to her that she was a woman and she shouldn't voice her opinion.

I KNOW! I mean, once a month I've got a great excuse to be a bitch and eat waaay too much chocolate, I've got two stress balls permanently attached to my chest, and when I go out in the wind my hair sticks to my lipstick! Not to mention high heels; not only do they make me taller and more formidable looking, they're basically vicious pointy kicking weapons attached to my feet, and honestly, I'm not comfortable wielding that much power. Oh, and none of my jeans have decent-sized pockets. I ask you, how am I supposed to cope? But seriously, I just got done waxing my eyebrows. That really does suck. It's not all fun and games.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Here is a fun and useful guide for waxing your eyebrows at home. I wrote it just for you. Because I love you. http://free-beauty-tips.glam.com/eyebrow_waxing.html But the real woman's struggle I was referring to is the struggle to gain upper arm strength.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1. Waxing is not fun. EVER. 2. Plagiarism is a crime punishable by trolling. 3. If your post really was talking about upper arm strength (which I doubt) you didn't write it very well 4. Very few girls want to look like the muscular woman on the sports deodorant bottle. 5. I've decided to forgive the above sins because you said you love me. But I'm going to act irrationally angry with you for a few days because I'm a woman and it floats my boat.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1. o 2. Why don't you believe I wrote that for you? You take all the romance out of everything. Also I will never troll in a million years. 3. When I say struggle in the context of women what struggle could I be referring to besides the struggle to lift objects over 5 pounds 4. A little secret for you is that that "woman" is really a man wearing a beautiful strong sports bra and with beautiful strong hair and beautiful strong skin 5. Why did you have to respond to my comment with a list? Lists are so limiting.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How are list so limited? You can write a never-ending list.

Struggle? This post is a couple hundred years late.

What about the struggle to find cheaper alternatives to Botox? Or the struggle of dealing with the ever-present threat of menopause? One of my friend's daughters (she was 13 at the time) hit menopause extremely young, and is still dealing with it (the daughter is 2). I've had to watch her cry herself to sleep, knowing that no man will ever love her because she has a very large forehead which nobody in their right mind would find attractive.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Frankly as a man I don't want to understand someone's struggles if they consist of getting better Botox.

Come on guys, we're all people and we all have issues. Guys have as many problems as girls. If you're talking about superficial issues (ie: makeup and high heels) you only bring it on yourself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I see what you did there.
