I heard that he's going to stop using it since everyone started to copy off of him, and people are starting to say that he can't sing.

Supposedly with his next album, and I have no idea when that comes out. He was one of the first to start using autotune, and it's his trademark sound unlike those that came out after him and just jumped on the bandwagon.

He can actually legitimately sing. In fact, he's one of the few artists that uses autotune as an effect, not as a voice correcter.

Exactly. People always say, "Omg that one uses auto-tune so shouldn't get paid all that money! Fuck the music industry for perpetuating this cheap and demeaning practice!" Yet they forget that they get paid that money because, and only because, the general public pay to listen to that auto-tuned stuff.

I didn't say anything about people's taste. I'm only reminding people that the only reason that auto tune is so prevalent is because the public give them money for producing music heavily laden with it.

Anybody can sing on auto tune, but can they do it while putting on a hell of a show? That's why he gets paid all that money.
