I can't talk, because I'm a poor Uni student at the moment, but if I was rich, I think I'd feel uncomfortable having a maid. Like, it would just feel weird getting someone to do crap like wash my clothes and stuff that I could easily do. Plus, like, on shows like Wife Swap where the rich families do have help, they just sit there eating their lunch while the maid vacuums, and that would just make me really really uncomfortable, even if I was paying them.

We don't have a maid, per say, but we do have a cleaning service that comes every other week. They don't do our laundry, but on bedroom rotation days, they make the beds and stuff. We're usually at school/work while they're there, but on breaks like summer vacation, we just go somewhere so it's not that awkward.

It's not that weird. At first it is but then you get used to it. Living where I live you don't have to be rich to have a maid
