+277 It's irritating that millions of people rip on cristianity and catholicism and are really disrespectful, and no one bats an eye, but it isn't politically correct to say a word about islam or anything else. Lets not be hypocritical and either not worry about stepping on anyones toes, or accept all religions, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Who cares about being politically correct? The phrase exists in the first place so some morons can tell you what's right and wrong as if everyone is a fucking retard and can't figure out how to live their own lives. The next person who tells you something is politically wrong I encourage you to whack them in the face with a fist or any other weapon of your liking to shake them out of their mindless torpor.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

a whack in the face with a fist is called a punch my friend

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So if no one needs to be politically correct, it's okay to beat up jews and ridicule gay people in public. No one cares about being politically correct, and that's why it's okay to swear loudly at Chuck E. Cheeses. So go ahead and be racist. Beat up Jews. Ridicule gay people. Tell children sex jokes. Watch what happens when you act like a douchebag with no morals or conscience whatsoever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No one refrains from beating up Jews and ridiculing gay people because it's not politically correct. /feedin'thetroll?/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That isn't being politically correct. That's called courtesy something of which you seem to have none

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why is that courtesy? You don't NOT beat someone up or NOT tease someone out of courtesy! You do it because it is the right thing to do! It's not like you'd pass some guy on the street, and he'd say, "Oh, WOW! That guy didn't knock me to the ground! How polite of him."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): I do, that's why I meet and have sex with so many girls.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

To all the replies: I was being sarcastic, not trolling. I was making the point that political correctness is what defines our laws and keeps those who have no conscience from hurting other people for being different.

Christianity*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As said above, *Christianity, *Catholicism, and *Islam. 'Lets' should be 'Let's'. Sorry for being a Grammar Nazi. YYA. :3

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you're that sorry, then just delete your comment

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, I'm not actually sorry. At all. Write your post correctly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not my post and if you're not sorry then don't say it... simple as that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just trying to be polite, lol. And if it isn't your post, might I commend you on your excellent white knighting abilities. Anyways, I'm not seriously getting into an argument about grammar, haha. Ciao.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No... it's not being polite unless you're sincere, it's just mockery. It's just too many people use so many words frivolously and it's just getting ridiculous. It's like saying, "I fucking hate you, I'd like to piss on you and then burn you (like Frozen was saying about the Qur'an and Bible)" and then saying, "Sorry."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The problem is the same as why people think all Muslims are terrorists. A very small portion of people, that happen to be Christian, do incredibly disrespectful things like the Koran burning for example. Then they become known for it, just like how only a small radical sect of Islam like Wahhabism condones terrorism, but people think that the religion itself is violent.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How do you compare one crazy guy to a whole group that has lasted more than 2 decades?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Which religion are you talking about that has been around for a whole 20 years?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No the whole terrorism fright started when? After the end of the cold war?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Lololololololol terrorism has been around for thousands of years, they just didn't use bombs. I believe it was either nietzche or marx that wrote about it in a book of his over a hundred years ago. They've just been amping up security in the last twenty years because of bomb threats

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What's that have to do with anything? Nobody mentioned that. I'm saying that you can't compare one person rallying to get people to burn the Qur'an (about a year ago?) to terrorists (the one this post and Anon's comment is talking about). The terrorists that we know now (and are fighting in the middle east) were trained during the Cold War, by the U.S. and some by U.S.S.R. so they haven't been around thousands of years as you say.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You said "terrorism" - a term that encompasses hundreds or thousands of years of years of human history. In direct response to this post, fuck jesus and nuke mecca, I'd love to piss on a Qu'ran and a Bible then burn em both in the same garbage heap. Religion is all a bunch of manmade trash, just like a happy meal toy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What the...? Why would we talking about one type of terrorists and then use the same word to reference something completely different? And that's great for you, but that's not what this debate is about, is it now? The whole debate started because that guy compared terrorists (the Muslim extremists that exist in today's world) to that guy who wanted to burn the Qur'an.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe people don't like Christians or Catholics because they're very in your face about religion, always trying to evangelize and such, idk, idc. C ya

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Am I crazy or does none of what you say make sense? How old are you kid? Anyways if you're done, then peace

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You are so completely wrong that it makes it obvious that you know nothing about those religions. Stop stereotyping.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

More than you dipshit. Also, catholicism is a sect of christianity, not two separate religions

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm catholic, so I think I do know more about my religion than someone who isn't catholic or even christian. Nice to see you've resorted to name calling to strengthen your argument.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I come from a catholic family and have studied it for going on 13 years now. With each passing year I can say with ever more confidence that catholicism is bullshit, along with the rest of christianity.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Somehow I dont believe that you could study in depth something you think is bullshit and that you dislike for over a decade. Also, some groups of people who convincingly call themselves christian are a bad representation of the religion and use the religion to persecute people. Those people do not follow jesus and I don't like to be associated with them. I making a guess that you have been around those type of people. So I'm sorry you lost yor faith.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Um. People do bat eyes. Where do YOU live?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe in a place where people squirrel eyes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): Squirrels? I don't like squirrels. Maybe Rabbit eyes. And that sounds like rabid, which is bonus points.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I would say that people can pickle eyes, but that would result in eyes becoming briney and shrivelled. I'd rather rabbit heart. This is a gift! It comes with a price! Who is the lamb, and who is the knife? Midas is king, and he holds me so tight! He turns me to gold in the sunlight!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): You lost me again, man. I was trying to play along and all....But I can't do it. You are on some other level.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I kill the conversation. That's what I do. :| Also, Florence + The Machine made a song called "Rabbit Heart".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): Ah. It kind of makes sense now. Gotcha.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or is it I who has gotchu?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Chauncy Pickles): wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yum

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'd say step one to accepting all religions would be spelling them properly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'd say step one is to actually listen to the message instead of scrutinizing every little detail

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you still understood without trouble what this person was saying, does it really matter? It's one post on Amirite.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

People think of religions as the small bit they know about each one. for example, if the only Muslim people they know of are terrorists, they will think that all Muslims are.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That is true. Like if people knew nothing aboot Catholicism, then the same people heard a story aboot a Catholic priest molesting children, those people might assume all Catholic priests are pedophiles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Draw Muhammad day. wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

People rip on christianity and catholicism a lot less than they do on islam, I'm Muslim I should know. I'm in theology club so I study Judaism and Christianity too, they're all a lot more similar than you might think, and FTR, "Allah" means God in Arabic, yes, the same exact God everyone else believes in, just like "Dieu" is god in french and "Dios" in spanish.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh and we also believe and love Jesus and Moses, not just Muhammed ;)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think many Christians get bullied in school for their beliefs. People might bitch and complain and even insult the religoin, but how often do you hear of a Christian kid getting beat to a pulp simply for being Christian? Muslim people are, at present, far more often attacked because of their beliefs. People might "rip" on Christianity, but generally you're not called a terrorist who's going to hell just because you're Christian. Your belief might be questioned, but you as a person rarely would be, compared with a Muslim person. I think it's all stupid anyway. Unless someone's belief is hurting someone (which neither Christianity or Islam or any other religion I can think of does, but rather the extremests do) then back the fuck off and let them live.
