-104 There's really no word for when you're going to die from thirst. There's "starve" for hungry, but you can't say "I'm parched to death," amirite?

Dehydration?

... Duh. Oops >_<

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, apparantly a lot of people didn't know that either.

"I dehydrated to death"? Doesn't really sound right.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Died of dehydration.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I suppose but it can't be used quite like 'starve' Ex: He's starving! He's dehydrating! Hurry with the food before I starve. Hurry with the water before I dehydrate!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Both of those examples worked fine.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah but it sounds less urgent

How did this get homepaged.. Haha.

I always thought it was "I'm thirsting to death"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm going to die due to a lack of ingestion of one of the necessary natural chemical compounds consisting of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen that make up approximately 70 percent of my body! By the time you'd say that, you'd have died.

I thought of another: Antidrown.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it works for giving people drinks as well. I'm drinking you vs I'm feeding you

by Anonymous 12 years ago

famished? Does that go for hungry or thirsty? Or just hungry? I always forget

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I saying I'm dying of thirst or something.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or the classic favorite: "FUCK! I have no water and now I'm going to fucking die!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago
