Light travels about a million times faster than sound through air, so you see the lightning first. A looooong way ahead of the thunder. :P

Not if you slowed it down to nano-second speeds. the lightning would strike first, followed closely by the sound of thunder. Unless you were actually UNDER the source of the lightning, in which case I don't think you'd notice because you'd be too busy being DEAD
