It's better because it prepares them to answer a question. Otherwise its just like HEY WHATS THE LARGEST LAND MAMMAL?!?! and they're like WAIT YOU DIDNT GIVE MY BRAIN A CHANCE TO GET INTO QUESTION ANSWERING MODE. *explode*
