I find those people the easiest to take advantage.

We SHOULD. Doesn't mean I WOULD.

What if they killed my mother?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Only if they take the steps to make them worthy of forgiveness.

People these days.

It's hard to forgive somebody who isn't sorry.

What if he killed my family, slaughtered my dog, burned down my house and tortured me into insanity?

What if they pissed in my cereal?

I agree to the point that you shouldn't let feelings of anger or hatred to consume you. Mostly you forgive for your own mental benefit, however forgiveness should not equal amnesia. If someone inspired those feelings in you to begin with, then it's safe to say you will and should continue to be at least a bit guarded.

"Okay Hitler, you're off the hook."

I don't think you should forgive them when they ruined your life, even though they said they loved you. That is just unforgivable in my eyes.

Depends on the situation. If someone did something minor like, steal my pencil or something, I would forgive them, but if they killed my family, there's no way in hell I would forgive them.

I would forgive (might be years and years) but I doubt that I'd ever forget.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

nope. nope. nope.

I think that you should forgive people, but that doesn't mean you ever have to trust them or come in contact with them again. Forgiveness doesn't always equal acquaintanceship.
