You can't believe the ONLY thing Casey Anthony was found guilty for was lying to the police. amirite?

She should have been convicted of manslaughter

1. She didn't tell anyone her kid was missing for 30 days. 2. They proved her mom couldn't have been the one looking up chloroform and 3. The "babysitter" she claimed to have kidnapped her daughter is nonexistent. I assumed manslaughter would actually be the BEST outcome for her.

None of the evidence points to first degree murder, manslaughter is what most likely happened.

The fact that she looked up chloroform points to premeditated murder. Although I do agree it could have been "an accident that snowballed out of control" making it manslaughter.

Not really, it points to that she wanted to sedate Kaylee, and could have accidentally killed her with it.

Although she probably did kill the kid, I there just wasn't enough evidence to convict her. But at least she was convicted of SOMETHING.

so if i can kill someone and leave no evidence behind, then go party for a little while, i can get away with it, just because there's no hard proof? in america's justice system, apparently yes. it's fucked up. im sorry, that woman deserves the death penalty, nothing less.

I was just thinking of the OJ case. I found it ridiculous that despite the evidence that clearly pointed toward him being the murderer they let him go because "the glove didn't fit". He's a smart guy, he probably used a glove that was too small on purpose just so it would look like someone else did it!
