We wouldn't neccessarily be ready for Heaven. Besides that, God doesn't want us to kill ourselves.

Suicide doesn't get you into heaven...and people do similar stuff all the time (or did) you know with cults and whatnot. I'm not sire how prominent they are anymore though.

Well, I don't believe in either of those two, but still I wouldn't say YYA if it were some non-religious example. There's no purpose for life. Everything's purpose IS life, all organs are made for living, all Earth's natural ecosystems are to support life, all animals' wants and natural habits are to live, etc. Life itself has no purpose; it is the purpose.

Why are people so obsessed with thinking there is meaning to life other then to be alive, then rot to help keep something else alive?

I think that life has been taken for granted. People see this world as pointless, we eat work sleep and excrete. This is not necessarily the most exuberant of things in some peoples minds, they want there to be a reason to do all that, no that they are doing it just to do it.
