In the brothers grimm fairytales, unlike the disney version, she actually gets a piece of...i think it was like flax glass...or something under her fingernail making her unconcious. When the prince finds her hes so amazed by her beauty he actually fucks her, then shes pregnant has twins (i think it was twins) while shes still asleep. One of the babys sucks on sleeping beautys finger, dislodging the glass and she wakes finally awakes out of her coma-like state.

TBH I always found Andersen's fairytales to be more messed up(Like the little mermaid*shudder*. Especially if they have a disney kid-friendly movie. Otherwise... Well. Let's just say I had nightmares about the matchstick girl.

You know, the matchstick girl? The one that was poor and selling matchsticks on the street for small change and then died of hypethermia whilst lighting up matches and having hallucinations of a warm home and loving family? Or the tale of a mom, which has a mother run after death to save her child, sacrificing her eyes and other body parts...in the end begging death to take the kid because some kids are better off dead. And yes, they're aimed at kids.
