+245 It is odd that anger is considered an irrational emotion when there are many situations where anger is the most rational way to react, amirite?

1. agreeable to reason; reasonable; sensible: a rational plan for economic development. 2. having or exercising reason, sound judgment, or good sense: a calm and rational negotiator. 3. being in or characterized by full possession of one's reason; sane Anger tends to make people defy reason, not follow it. It is a reasonable reaction and expected at times, but not rational.

I agree, but to the extent that one is angry against a situation/person that can be changed, and then they use that anger to inspire them to rightful action. If the situation cannot be changed, it is more rational/reasonable to still not like it but be calm.
