What does that even mean? Are you saying that colanders go out of use when they are old? Congratulations for figuring out that an inanimate kitchen utensil can't die.

This joke is very poorly constructed. I initially interpreted the post to mean that the colander committed suicide because it couldn't "take the strain anymore," but suicide still results in death, which colanders are incapable of to begin with, and that muddles the context of your post somewhat.
