What about things like wind and the water cycle?

The sun will die in around 5 billion years. Kind of moots your point doesn't it?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Those things are still going to exist some place else even after our sun dies.

Alright then, what about the Big Rip? the universe expands so much that large bodies disintegrate and eventually, even the strong nuclear force can't keep up, and atoms themselves break apart? Or, if it doens't happen, the the Big Crunch, where everything is squeezed back into the pre-Big Bang state?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

What if neither of those theories ever happen? Even if they do, the universe will re create it's self and those things will happen again.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Its an either or scenario. The universe cannot reach an equilibrium, so it will either expand forever or collapse. Te creation of a new universe does not guarantee that everything will be the same. Water or even the same elements may not even exist.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, but things like the water cycle will exist, and I'm almost positive wind will exist cuz I just can't see how it wouldn't but maybe not.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oh, i dunno... maybe in a universe in which gasses didn't exist? Or any matter, and just pure energy?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's also relaxing to know that none of us will be around to see anything of that caliber
