+266 It's pretty unfair to charge people MORE money for cell phones, apartments, etc. because they are low-income, amirite?

It's unfair to charge people more money for any reason. Even if they're filthy rich.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When does this happen?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Credit Checks, etc.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it happens a lot.

I also think it's unfair to charge people less because they are low-income.

They have less. Obviously it's better to not take more from people who can least afford it. Also people in the highest tax brackets get huge loopholes, writeoffs, credits and deductions. That's on top of only paying 1% higher taxes. Go ahead and try to justify that.

Some people have less because they sit on their lazy ass all day

by Anonymous 12 years ago

People who lack money are not always lazy. I have had 39 hour a week "part time" jobs and even then no insurance and not enough for basics. Many of my friends have or had multiple jobs to maybe break even. Don't act like hard work is the key to everything. How many hours of hard labor have Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian put in to have as much money as they have? Think before you speak.

I'm saying that it's not fair charging them less just because they don't have as much money. In no way am I implying that they should be charged more. I think everyone should be charged equally. If a poor person and a rich person want the same thing, they should pay the same amount.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

well then what you are really saying is people with money should have more. If they are charged the same ..the poor person can't have whatever the thing is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But then it's not fair for the person with more money if someone with little to no money is able to get someone for a cheaper price. People should not get special treatment based on their economic status.

I did think, and I disagreed with you. You're not rite just because you think you are
