almost taking over the world seems like something you would have to be smart to do and with your friends form the neighborhood too.

Go to almost any timeframe in history where a civilization almost took over the world and you'll see it was less smarts and more brute strength. And when did Britain even do that anyway?

More than the Persian or Roman empires.

Imperialism? I don't agree with anon's comment. But I'm just saying, During the age of imperialism there was a lot of conquering involved. With this conquering came lots of inhumanity towards those who had been taken over.

There is no set british accent. There are hundreds of regional dialects.

Same thing applies to America. British accent is a blanket term for all accents in that region. I think they all sound nice. American accent is also a blanket term for all accents that comes from America. I have an American accent, but if you wanted to be specific I have a Midland accent.

Trust me, they don't all sound nice. You obviously haven't heard the chavvy ones.

I just like Britain a lot so any British accent fascinates me :D

Agree with Kaitlyn, chav accents aren't so nice. There's not a single letter 't' pronounced (peanut butter = peanuh' buh-er) , the sound 'uhh' is added to the end of certain words (shut up = shu' up-uhh), and use of 'f' instead of 'th' is common. (let me think about it = lemme fink abou' ihh)

The Southern English accent (otherwise known as the 'Harry Potter' accent) sounds pretty smart.. The Northern accent sounds friendly and homely, Welsh sounds AWESOME and Scottish sounds either drunk, sexy or both. Northern Irish has similar qualities. :P

Beat me to it. Really. I'm not just saying that to sound smart. Because I don't have a British accent.
