+108 Grass pokemon were the worst, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nahh. They're good against water, electric, ground, and rock. They're just the worst to choose as starter Pokemon [I regret choosing Chikorita]

Grass is actually a good starter for Firered/Leafgreen because the first two gyms are rock and water. It's just (heart)Gold and (soul)Silver that grass is the worst choice for starter.

Don't forget the 3rd gym leader [electric] And after I beat Kanto Region for SoulSilver, I'm choosing totodile. Hands down.

Actually, I always hated bug types. Some are cool, but they take forever to raise to a point where they're actually strong. And I'd always get annoyed when I ran into a million caterpies/metapods/weedles. Don't even get me started on magikarp, though...

SO TRUE. Magikarp...ugh. I never bothered with them. For SS/HG, you run into a shiny one, so just wait for that one.

I like grass Pokemon, they can use Poison/Paralyze/Sleep Powder and Giga Drain. Choosing a Cyndaquil or some other fire-type like that is overrated. In fact, most of the time I don't even use my starter. It just gets kind of boring after a while. I have about 5 of each of the Hoenn starters on my Diamond.

ya grass is the worst. at least bug can be super effective against psychic and dark.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think bug types are the worst. They aren't strong against anything and pretty much everything else can destroy them. I have never tried seriously raising one, though, so maybe there's something to them that I'm not getting.

There have been some good grass types. But mostly they were grass and another type. Example: Venusaur, Vileplume, Exeggutor
