Not all. They should still be given food and drink in my opinion. No matter the severity of the crime, the legal system would be corrupt if it started torturing people.

I think severity really makes a difference. If someone killed a lot of people in cold blood, he shouldn't be treated like a human.

Well, I think that people who commit crimes bad enough to "deserve" such treatment should instead be given psychiatric help so that they realize the error of their ways and don't continue them, as should help be given to any people affected by their crimes if they need or want it. Everyone is human and happy people don't become serial killers. Two wrongs don't make a right you know...
