+270 Just because you have a fancy ass camera does not mean you're a photographer. Amirite?

My friend decided that he was into photography after I got a new canon for my birthday because I actually AM into it. So, then he bought a $400 camera and wants to get the same one as me when he has NEVER expressed an interest in it before my birthday, and has never taken any digital art or photography classes. Ridiculous.

(A-luau-loo): Maybe you're dealing with a mini-me. Haha.

I've noticed that he does it to his close friends who start getting good at something. I think it makes him realize that he's not doing anything with his life, so he just tries to get the best at whatever it is that you're doing to feel good. It gets old fast. Especially because all of these hobbies that he ends up spending ass-loads of money on usually disappear within a couple months.

I'm glad to say I've never had this type of thing happen.. sucks for you. Although, you could possibly look at it as a good thing, because it may just mean he admires you. Wait until he starts wearing the same clothes as you =)

Haha! I think he'd probably stop wearing the same clothes after the first time of being in a bikini for swimming.
