+192 Baguettes are a type of pain, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't understand

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"pain" is French for "bread"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh right, okay. This post isn't good

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just because you aren't smart enough to understand that Pain means bread in French, doesn't mean that the post is bad. It makes perfect sense, you're just not keeping up.

It's not really, 'not being smart enough'. But yes, KickAss's reasoning is faulty.

Not speaking a foreign language is being stupid? Now I've heard it all. Besides I used to speak French, I just didn't make the connection. I was saying, I get it now and it is not a good word play... it's like an obvious innuendo that only works one way and doesn't actually have a meaning outside of it being an innuendo. Even if you weren't using it as a word play it wouldn't make sense. What you said is, "Baguettes are a type of suck" where suck means bread in some language. It's not only poor grammar on your part, but also poor wording. It's not my fault your have poor English speaking abilities, Mr/s Dummy. A proper substitute would be, "Baguettes are a pain."

Not speaking a foreign language doesn't mean you're stupid, but speaking the language and yet being unable to make such a basic connection might. Also, what's wrong with the grammar in this post? The poster effectively said "baguettes are a type of bread," which grammatically is just fine.

I haven't spoken French in over 10 years so... sue me. Mine makes more sense, in the context.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That makes more sense, I was debating between the two.

Good joke, but baguettes are actually delicious. As such, I won't vote.
