+675 It's awkward when someone repeats what you just said as a question. "I don't like donuts." "You don't like DONUTS?" You just kinda want to be like, "Actually, now that you've said that, I do. Thanks buddy.", amirite?

That's almost as irritating as when people ask themselves a question and then answer it. For example: Do I hate when people ask a question then answer aforementioned question? Yes, yes I do.

Or when people ask retarded questions like: Oh, did you get a haircut? Oh, is it raining? Oh, you're here? Like really -_-

Did I stutter?

If conversations were meant to be how OP and the above comments think they should be, this would be a very boring world because stupid comments and small talk make things interesting. ."I don't like doughnuts." -"That sucks." ."Yep." -.*awkward silence*

Next time, liven things up a bit. "I don't like doughnuts." *other person starts to shove doughnuts down your throat* "DO YOU LIKE THEM NOW?"

People don't say stuff like this because they misheard it. They say it because it's out of the ordinary and by you repeating it, its in a sense a way of mocking them as if you couldn't possibly have heard them correctly because, everyone loves donuts.

I'm guilty of this...I really don't notice how stupid I sound 'till it's too late.
