+169 The American Harry Potter cover art is better than the British art, amirite?

Definitely not. SOME people may think the first and second are better (I don't). We have a clear winner for book three. A well-drawn Hippogriff vs. a horribly drawn one...Then teh 4th one, a fire breathing drawing, so carefully and well-drawn; it looks photo-realistic. Compared to what looks like a five year old ready to play with his toys...Then the Pheonix in Book five...beautiful. Compared to a guy looking back shaded blue??? For book six we have a plain green drawing of Dumbledore and Harry for Americans, but the British have a full-coor ready for action Harry in whirl wind of Fire. Which is better? The British cover for the seventh one is a bijillion times better; Guy raising hand vs. a extremely deatiled well-drawn picture of Hermione, Ron, and Harry right in the middle of action looking like they're poppping out of the page. By the way, I'm an American Artist; I just happen to have common sense when it comes to art.

I will admit that the British art is much more realistic and better technically, but I was only stating my opinion. I just like the style of the American covers better. The realisticness of the British art doesn't really appeal to me.

The French covers are...meh. Seriously, they pale in conparison to British and American.

I grew up with the British covers for the first four books and the American covers for 5-7. I definitely think the American covers for 1-4 look fuggin stupid. The other three I like about equal with the British ones though.
