It's because some parents (some meaning MOST) Think that a child is stupid. If they realize that they are wrong, they don't want to confess in front of that child. They act like it's your fault when they DO confess because they get angry at themselves for being so stupid, so they, for some reason, let their anger out on you. I learned this from my GOOD Mom, who is one of those rare parents that doesn't do that.
